Common questions
Can you work from architect’s drawings without engineer details?
Often yes for non-structural items. Where an element carries load we will ask for, or arrange, an engineer’s check.
Do you do stainless steel?
Yes, grades 304 and 316, with brushed or polished finishes.
What counts as architectural metalwork?
Visible steelwork where the finish matters as much as the strength: feature stairs, balustrades, screens, canopies, cladding frames, planters and decorative gates.
Can you work from an architect’s design intent drawings?
Yes. We develop the fixings and connections, issue fabrication drawings for approval and then make it. Anything that needs structural sign-off is flagged early.
Which finishes can architectural metalwork have?
Hot-dip galvanising, powder coating, galvanising with a powder coat over it (a duplex finish), wet paint systems, or stainless steel. The right one depends on location and appearance.
