Does a mezzanine floor need building regulations approval?
Usually yes. A mezzanine adds floor area and affects fire safety, escape routes and loading, so it normally needs Building Regulations approval. Your landlord’s consent may also be needed.
What loads can a mezzanine floor take?
It is designed for its use: storage, offices or plant all have different floor loads in BS EN 1991-1-1. Tell us the use and we size the steel and decking to match.
Do you supply the stairs and guarding for a mezzanine?
Yes. We supply the stairs, handrails, edge guarding and pallet gates as one package with the frame.
