What do you need from me to price a job?
Drawings (structural, architectural or both), the specification if there is one, your return date and the site postcode. A BoQ helps but is not essential.
How quickly will I get a quote?
Every quotation is free, and we send it within 48 hours of receiving your drawings. We acknowledge your enquiry the same working day. If a large tender pack needs longer, we tell you the date when we acknowledge it.
Do you charge for quotations?
No. Quotations are free and come with no obligation.
Do you work outside London and the South East?
Yes for larger packages. Our workshop is in Ash, Sevenoaks, and most of our work is within about 60 miles.
Are you accredited?
Yes: BS EN 1090-1 FPC with UKCA marking, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, Constructionline Gold and SSIP. See Accreditations.
Do you fabricate in-house?
Yes. Cutting, drilling, welding, priming and assembly all happen in our own workshop. Hot-dip galvanising is done by our partner galvaniser.
Do you install?
Yes, with our own site teams. Supply-only is available for trade clients.
Can you work to my main contractor’s programme?
Yes. Tell us the programme dates when you send drawings and we will confirm what we can meet.
Do you take domestic work?
Yes: RSJs, goalposts, loft beams, balconies, gates and railings.
What insurance do you hold?
Public liability £5m, employers’ liability £10m and professional indemnity £1m.
How do I pay?
By bank transfer against our invoice. Trade accounts are available for regular clients.
Do you sign NDAs before receiving drawings?
Yes. Tick the NDA box on the tender form and we will sign yours or send ours before you send files.
Can I visit the workshop?
Yes. Book a workshop visit from the contact page.
Do you offer trade accounts?
Yes. Apply on the trade account page; accounts are approved by our office.
Can you measure on site?
Yes, through our site survey service.
Do you take framework work?

What file types can I send?
PDF, DWG, DXF, IFC, Excel, Word, photos, voice notes and ZIP files.
Is there a free pre-construction review?
Yes. New main contractors and architects can book a free one-hour pre-construction review of a steel package.
Do you provide UKCA marking and a DoP?
Yes, for structural steel fabricated under our BS EN 1090-1 FPC.
Do you install as well as fabricate?
Yes. Steel is fabricated in our Ash workshop and erected by our own team.
Can you work from an architect’s drawing?
For metalwork such as gates, railings and balustrades, yes, together with our site survey. Structural steel needs your structural engineer’s design.
Do you do small jobs?
Yes, from a single beam for a house to full building frames.
Can you galvanise and powder coat?
Yes. Hot-dip galvanising is by our partner galvaniser, with powder coat on top where a colour is needed.
What happens after I accept the quote?
We model the job in 3D and send fabrication drawings for approval. Then we fabricate, finish and install, and hand over the certificates.
Is the quotation itemised?
Yes. Our free quotations are itemised so you can see what is included.
Can you match existing railings?
Yes. We survey the existing railings and make new ones to match.
Do you offer site surveys?
Yes. We measure on site so steel fits first time, especially in existing buildings.
How do I send large drawing files?
Email them, send them on WhatsApp, or email us a file-share link.
Are your welders qualified?
Structural welding is carried out under our BS EN 1090-1 factory production control, which requires qualified welders and approved welding procedures.
