Common questions
Can you price from the engineer’s drawings only?
Yes. Send the structural GA and member schedule. If connections are not designed we will say so in the quote and can price connection design separately.
Do you supply and erect?
Yes. Fabrication, priming and erection are all done by our own team. Supply-only is available to trade clients.
What size jobs do you take?
From a single beam to full building frames. Send the drawings and we will tell you quickly if it fits our programme.
What do you need from me to price a steel frame?
The general arrangement drawings, the engineer’s member sizes and connection design, and the site address. A specification and programme help. If the connections are not designed yet, tell us and we will price on a stated basis.
Is your structural steel CE or UKCA marked?
Yes. We fabricate under a factory production control system certified to BS EN 1090-1, and structural components are UKCA marked to the execution class in the specification, usually EXC2.
Do you erect the steel as well as fabricate it?
Yes. Our own team installs, with lifting plans, method statements and risk assessments issued before we start. We can also supply only, delivered to site.
