Can you match an existing balcony design?
Yes. We survey and measure the existing balconies and build to match.
What finish do steel balconies need?
Outdoors, hot-dip galvanising to BS EN ISO 1461 is the usual protection, with a powder coat over it where colour matters.
Do balconies on taller residential buildings have material limits?
Yes. Approved Document B sets limits on combustible materials for balconies on many residential buildings with a storey at 11 m or more, so steel frames and suitable decking are commonly specified. Your fire engineer confirms what applies.
Can you replace balconies on an occupied building?
Yes. We plan the work flat by flat, with safe access, temporary guarding and clear notice for residents.
